The Game Awards keert op 10 december terug voor 2020, en naast de nieuwe onthullingen voor aankomende pc-games, er is daar ook een hele prijsuitreiking. De genomineerden voor The Game Awards zijn zojuist bekendgemaakt in alle grote categorieën, en het ziet er naar uit dat het een bijzonder sterk jaar wordt voor PlayStation, maar er zitten ook veel pc-games in de mix.
Genomineerden voor Game van het jaar beschikbaar op pc zijn onder meer Hades en Doom Eternal – maar ja, consoles zijn ook goed. Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons is ook beschikbaar voor GotY, maar PlayStation 4 heeft de meest populaire exclusives: Final Fantasy VII Remake, Ghost of Tsushima en The Last of Us Part II zijn allemaal in de prijzen voor dit jaar.
Genomineerden voor The Game Awards worden gekozen door een panel van 95 media en influencers – ja, inclusief je vrienden hier bij PCGamesN. Het nominatieproces staat open voor elk spel en het panel zal binnenkort stemmen over de uiteindelijke winnaars in elke categorie. Stemmen van fans tellen ook mee bij het bepalen van de winnaars, dus je kunt naar de officiële site voor meer informatie over hoe u uw eigen stem kunt uitbrengen.
De grootste games in alle categorieën dit jaar zijn The Last of Us Part II met in totaal tien nominaties en Hades met acht. Er zijn dit jaar veel geweldige games, dus overweeg de onderstaande lijst als een kans om in te halen wat je hebt gemist.
